Hi Keith. We can give a lift on the way home from Dartmouth. Ben and Carrie
Yes will be happy to Cox the fleet row after the naming ceremony. Can row if needed. Will be there earlier on to do any prep that is required.
Yes please. I would like to take part.
Well done to both our crews yesterday at 3 rivers! One of, if not the most enjoayble races I have coxed – it was a pleasure girls and worth the effort to speed past Sidmouth mid race and see them off for the whole race. great rowing and determination! Looking forward to the rest of the season!
Thank you Bob. That would be spot on. See you there!
Hi all rowers for tomorrow.
Can you all arrive by 8am at the latest to help get the Gig launched and row it round to the beach. There will be minimal time for each crew to launch due to the volume of gigs arriving.
Can I also ask for rowers to contribute £2 each which will pay for the entry fee and fuel to tow the Gig. Can someone gather the money and go and pay our race fee (£10 per crew), stating the name of the Gig and the club please? This will save time while I park the trailer and head over to the coxes meeting.
Regards
Ben
Thanks for the info Bob and Phil, useful stuff. See most of you at 17.30. Meet at Sea Cadets HQ where we will start with moving the trailer and Avocet out of the yard. We will wheel the trailer round to near Shelly beach for the swap (this will also help me inspect trailer condition for transport on Saturday.) Cheers all.
Hi folks, Request for help with boat logistics:
Please could any of those who are racing at 3 rivers from Exmouth come down and help get Rodney on the trailer this wednesday at 17:30 please. (meet at the Sea Cadets Yard)
Please respond using this thread if available to help at 17:30 on Wednesday (that should give us enough light to shift the boats around and ensure everything is ready to go for Saturday).
Any other members are welcome to come and help, but initially I want to make sure as many of those racing on Saturday come down to help prep the boats. (this should also mean minimal help needed on Saturday morning).
Many thanks! 🙂
I am keen please. Happy to be in any crew and happy to Cox some of the other races.
Ladies deadline extended until this Friday at 6pm. We need 2 more ladies to face, ideally from our own club. If we don’t get 2 more ladies by Friday we will seek 2 from another club. Mens deadline closed as we have enough for a draw which we will do in Saturday morning at the latest. Cheers all.
Hi Karen, Yes correct, I am afraid we both have our hands full today and this evening so won’t be able to host a fitness session. Please feel free to arrange a bit of a group fitness session elsewhere, using this message board thread as this could be a good way to spend those evenings when there are no other planned activities taking place. The next session at the Sea Cadets is going to be on Tuesday 14th March, as we are allowed to use the building on every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month due to other regular bookings they have committed to.
I am willing to Cox one crew and would like to be in the draw to row.
Hi Folks, Thanks for signing up for this! See you there. If you have a mat or towel, bring it along for the stretching at the end. The following names are down for a 6pm start. Remember to sign the attendee list and pay your £1 as you come in.

I think that’s a good shout if the weather is bad (which i am afraid is looking likely at the moment). Good idea walking/cycling/train ride there instead if the weather bad.
Fitness session at 6pm, Sea Cadets building, Tuesday 31st Jan. This is available to ALL members with an emphasis on fun regardless of fitness and experience. We do have to operate a first come first served system however due to time constraints and safety.
We can now have up to 16 in one class, so we plan to run just 1 class. It will be 25mins of circuit training followed by 15 of stretching and cool down. Names below please. £1 per person.
