Hi folks,
I have taken the decision to postpone tomorrows 9am session, due to a combination of a strong outgoing tide and strong wind in the same direction at 9am.
I am proposing a midday session when the tide will have turned, to give us the best chance of getting out tomorrow. (mind you, the wind could still end up messing things up).
If you want to row at midday Saturday 20th Feb, put your name below. A decision on whether to go ahead with be posted here soon after 10:30am tomorrow.
Hi all, EVENT POSTPONED.
Just had an email to say that this event is postponed until Saturday 5th March due to the weather forecast for Saturday.
If you are interested and can attend that new date, please put your name down below. I may be attending a CPGA governing body Special General meeting that day in Saltash, so this event will require a cox to put their name down in order for us to take part.
Names below please if you wish to take part:
Hi Folks, So far I have the following rowers down to attend this after a bit of discussion this week:
Ben (Cox)
Bob
Shirley
Matt

Mark
I have been told now that we can have a mixed crew of 4 men and 2 ladies, but that still means we need 1 lady to come forward by tomorrow at Midday otherwise we will have to just revert to a normal Saturday rowing session. Decision will be posted on here again tomorrow after midday.
Just had confirmation of approx timings:
0845hrs Registration opens situated at boathouse (Les Norcliffe)
0930hrs Briefing Power Point Presentation in Clubroom
1000hrs Launching commences.
1. Ladies 8k
2. Men’s 8k
3. Super Vets 4k
4. Mixed 4k
Launches are subject to flexibility, but will be a rolling program. .
Finnish It’s anticipated that all rowing will be finished by around 14.30hrs.
Hi Folks
Quick update on our entry into this event: Looks likely that we are heading for the 4km mixed event. The crews need to be half and half (3 men and 3 ladies), so we need another lady to come forward. We need another lady to come forward by This Thursday at 12midday, then we can do a quick draw out of a hat at the committee meeting on Thursday night to decide the 6 crew members. It looks as though the 4km race will be after midday, but I will confirm with Les at the rowing club approx start time (it could be very approx, depending on the time it takes for the 8km races to take place).
Definite decision and crew list will be put up on this message board by 10am Friday morning.
Regards
Ben

Hi folks,
Due to poor weather this morning, I have cancelled the scheduled session.
I am going to run a session today at 14:30, when the weather is due to have improved.
This will be one session only, as I have to get away at a decent time later.
Please put your names down below if you would like to row at 14:30. First come, first served. When there are 6 names down the session will go ahead. Please put your names down by 12.30 today. I will confirm just after 12:30 on here if it’s going ahead.

Hi folks,
I was passed on details of another accommodation option for the Scillies next year. A unique opportunity to arrive there and stay on a restored Sailing Ship from the early 1900’s. See the link below for details:
I will be there and will tow the Gig.
