An initial meeting was held on 3rd December (via Zoom) for those who had expressed an interest in attending Scillies 2022 .
The idea being to share information and consider practical next steps.
The discussion covered likely costs to be borne by those attending, the condition of Shelly, continuing uncertainty over Covid(although currently IoS rules are relaxed), fitness levels, accommodation, availability of coxes for both training and Club rows and lack of interest from members shown to date.
It was suggested that perhaps a further message could go out to the membership to seek interest/support given a reminder was sent in October.
Following discussion a vote was taken as to whether to attend or not and the majority of those present voted to withdraw.
The Committee will now advise CPGA and organisers.
Those present agreed going forward to focus on more local competitive events and work towards IoS 2023.

Sidmouth have apologised but have withdrawn from this event.
Instead we will run an intraclub event on the day so please book on to row as usual.

Hi all we have apologies from Angela who is also suffering with a cold and sadly not up to rowing let alone racing.

We have 10 signed up so far-please consider joining us at Sidmouth where Sidmouth Gig Club are hosting this mixed crew event based on the one we held.

The plan is as before to race in the morning and maybe look to use the Beach for people to buy their own beer/coffee and we consider supplying sandwiches.

The date for the Teign Race (not Regatta) changed from 17th to 2nd of October.
Due to the late notice and lack of interest Exmouth will not be fielding a crew/s this year.
