    ***GREAT RIVER RACE 2024 UPDATE***
For those of you interested in the GRR, entries are now OPEN, (and close on 15th August).
We’d love Exmouth Gig Club to be represented at this fabulous event, and interested crews are invited to apply. Before you can do so, you’ll need to present all your info to the Committee, to make sure that there are no clashes: eg coxes name, crew names, tower’s name, passenger name (remember you must carry a passenger for this race, so 6 rowers, 1 passenger and 1 cox).
Costs to consider are: £75per person entry fee (inc for cox and passenger), craneage on and off the Thames at Ham (£25 both before and after the race), fuel, accomodation etc
Really thorough entry info can be found HERE
    .
    .

Gina has kindly collated a list of ‘out of area’ events which may appeal to club members, listed below, (with links to the event website or facebook page beneath each, in orange).
If you’re interested in taking part in any of these events, please state which, and in order of preference so we can gauge appetite.
(Participation, will, as always be dependent on the availability of a boat, a cox and a tower!)

    This is great, thank you!

Poole and GRR would be my top two, impossible to separate. May have a local tower for GRR too to help with logistics.

I’d like take part in Round Hayling Island if this was possible.
Could we also consider The Tamar Challenge? It is normally mid October and the club took part last year – I’d be happy to help organise this one.

Having done GRR The Loch Ness would appeal to me. But would do GRR if that was the choice and needed. Also probably available to tow if necessary. Not sure about other dates yet.

These all look interesting. The GRR in September looks a good fun event.
Keen to be considered for a space – ( if felt suitable & one available )- on any chosen event.

Hi GRR of course ( never done it and seems an age wanting to) and Loch Ness.
    Hayling Island also.
    Many thanks
