Hello peeps, we need a press officer for this regatta, basically, all you need to do is write notes about the races and how the day went. The easiest thing to do is ask the Coxes how their race went, also watch the races and give your account. Please put your name down on here. Bring notepad and pen.
Don’t worry you won’t be doing it for every regatta you attend we will ask for volunteers at each. i need the article typed up and sent to me at tanyajnetherway@gmail.com so i can send onto the newspapers. Cheers all. PS if you could take some pics (i will have a fancy smanshy camera you can borrow) that would be fab, no worries if not.
Hi Katy, think on the beach. It should be signposted i think. car park (TQ14 8PH).
Timings for this regatta are as follows:
ϖ Please can gigs arrive between 8.15 and 9.30.
ϖ Navigational support through the harbour and river mouth will be available.
ϖ Registration will be at the Yacht Club, and will close at 10.15.
ϖ Coxes meeting will be held at 10.30 at the Yacht club, with racing starting promptly at 11.00.
Sidmouth regatta has been postponed, see below.
Dear All;
Having had a close look at the forecasts for Sunday, we’ve reluctantly decided we have to postpone our regatta at Sidmouth.
With gusts of 25mph expected and an exposed beach we’ve had to put safety first.
We will however be looking to identify another date when tides look suitable, to hopefully rearrange the event.
Thanks again for your support for our regatta; we hope to see you all again at Sidmouth, later in the season.
