    Hope this doesn’t mess anyone around but I’m not actually going to the IOS! I did originally express an interest some time ago but never followed it up by confirming. I’m really happy to fill in on any training rows if anyone needs an extra body just let me know. Will see you at the weekend.

    Some feedback – there was a fair bit of interest in the club at the Kite Festival on Saturday afternoon. There were three people in particular who were very keen and said they’d go into the website and request an introductory row.

    The Bosun of Exmouth Shanty Men was at the Kite Festival on Saturday and has invited us to come to one of their evenings at The Beach pub on Tues 22nd August at 8pm. Apparently they won’t make you sing if you don’t want to, but promise that if you do you’ll enjoy it. They’re very keen to maintain links with the gig club.

    Also, I said I’d pass on details of “Steve Knightley – The Landlocked Tour” supported by The Exmouth Shanty Men. It’s on Fri 29th September 7.30pm at The Ocean, Queens Drive, Exmouth. Tickets £19 from the shanty men’s website.

    Thought you might be interested. From today Lidl are selling performance leggings, black with orange piping down the outside of the leg seams, below the knee length. £4.99. Bargain!
