    Given the new information about this event, no thanks I’ll pass. If nothing else pops up I might go for a row to Dawlish or Topsham and have brunch.

    I’d love to have a go in your boat sometime- I did have a go in the singlehanders there when Bob the man from Poole who sells them brought lots of his down – it was fun but would only want to do it in good conditions weatherwise

    Yep, this is event we are working with the other rowing club. Hoping to get everyone an opportunity to try the different rowing disciplines and have some fun 👍🏻

    Update on this; from my understanding this is the River Exe Regatta hosted by Starcross Sailing and Cruising Club, not to be confused with Exmouth Rowing Clubs own Barbarian racing event that celebrates their 30th anniversary.

    The River Exe Regatta is a good one so feel free to have a blast, the other rowing club ego/attitude will still be present if they attend but not on the level as if it was their own event thank god.

    Possibly as long as they don’t involve us in their politics, slag us (Gig rowers) off or belittle us with their ego, poaching, or are using us for making up numbers/charging us.

    I would rather use the date for a better row somewhere where you’ll have a more positive experience.

    If anyone wants a go in a World Rowing sliding seat coastal, I’ll bring my boat down for you to have a go in during club sessions.

    Crew selection discussions have now begun, so no more names.
