  Hello everyone,

  It seems like Scillies comes around earlier and earlier every year…

  Can people please put their name down below if they’re interested in rowing in the World Pilot Gig Champions (WPGC) on the Isles of Scilly 1st – 3rd May 2026.

  Please can you indicate what races you would be interested in doing (i.e., senior only, Vets/SVet/Masters, both) so I have an idea about what crews we may be able to take.

  As a reminder, we are holding a meeting on the Saturday the 4th of October at the Sea Cadets 9:00-10:30am, if you want more information and want to discuss how we approach the event/training as a club. If you can’t make the event but are still interested, please put your name down and we’ll be in touch (or feel free to get in touch with me).

  FYI: We’ve only been offered 1 boat this year and are unlikely to be offered another one. This means we can enter:

  1 x Ladies Vets/SVet/Masters
  1 x Open Vets/Svets/Masters
  1 x Ladies Senior
  1 x Mens Senior

  I’ll pass on more details as we receive them.

  For anyone who is looking to book travel early, please see the club’s unique discount code below for travel via the IOSSC – Scillonian III or Skybus.

  The discount code will be a fixed fee of £87:50 (single) £175 (return) for all CPGA club event attendees. The code will only be available until the 28th February 2026, after that date only the brochure price will be available.

  If you can’t book the sailing you want, a lot of people end up selling tickets closer to the time (normally through various Facebook groups)

  And just to note, the deadline for Scillies selection will be the end (30th) of November.

Away this weekend so can’t make the meeting, really keen to be involved in any training rows, opportunities to get on the water… Summer Regattas. Probably a No for IOS 2026… but super keen for 2027!!!!!
