What is Gig Rowing?
Cornish pilot gigs are traditional six-oared rowing boats originally used along the rugged coast of Cornwall.
Today they are raced by clubs across the UK and beyond, combining teamwork, fitness and a healthy dose of adventure.
A gig can only move efficiently when six rowers work together, guided by a coxswain. It is this shared effort that makes the sport so rewarding.
