MONTHLY FIGURES – RETURN TO ROWING
We have been collecting information monthly since September to show the impact of Covid on the gig rowing world.
All clubs have been asked to complete the information at the beginning of the month, except for November when we entered a second lockdown.
We would like to thank all those who have completed the task as it keeps the CPGA informed when dealing with external organisations, we can give an accurate figure.
As you will see from the graph below, the response has not been from ALL clubs.
Those clubs listed below need to make contact with email@example.com
Clubs who have not responded at all:
- LA, USA
- RAF Brize Norton
Clubs who have only responded once in the three requests for information
- Bishops Stortford
- Flushing Mylor
- London Cornish
Whilst we are aware that the situation has recently changed. Please if your club has not completed the December input, can you do so asap, the link will close on Wednesday 16th December, 2020 Monthly Figures – December
RETURN TO ROWING
As with the previous return to rowing, any rowing that does take place MUST be risk assessed, Covid protocols must be in place and accessible to all members, mitigation actions must be followed.
Some key points to remember:
- Social distancing where possible
- Masks on launch and recovery
- No changing of crews/cox during a rowing session
- Wearing of masks / face shields for coxes
- Cleaning boat and equipment between rowing sessions and after use
- Contact tracing in place (see Weekly Update 40 for QR codes / NHS tracing)
With any activity that takes place all – members rowing and non-rowing, and the general public must see that all is being done to limit any spread of Covid. Please remember that if you are using social media only publish compliant photos / videos and remember that there are others who will publish anything and even contact the CPGA if they see a club not following good practice.
CAN WE PLEASE EMPHASIS THAT ANYTHING PUBLISHED ON SOCIAL MEDIA NEEDS TO FOLLOW COVID PROTOCOL, IT IS IMPORTANT TO SHOW THAT YOUR CLUB IS FOLLOWING GUIDANCE.
