COVID 19 UPDATE – 19th December 2020
Yet again the situation is changing. There are now CPGA clubs in all tiers 1 – 4. If you are in tier 4 – no rowing is to take place.
Information – click on links below for full info.
Please also remember if you are in a mixed tier bubble on Christmas Day, guidance suggest you should reduce contact with people outside your bubble for the two weeks / 10 days after you last meet with your Christmas bubble. During this period, you should consider restricting your rowing activity to your own household, not your rowing crew bubble.
Once again, we need to emphasise that you are following guidance and any rowing that does take place MUST be risk assessed with Covid protocols in place and accessible to all members, mitigation actions must be followed. Please do not be complacent. Anything published on social media needs show you followed covid protocol.
Some key points to remember:
- Social distancing where possible
- Masks on launch and recovery
- No changing of crews/cox during a rowing session
- Wearing of masks / face shields for coxes
- Cleaning boat and equipment between rowing sessions and after use
- Contact tracing in place (see Weekly Update 40 for QR codes / NHS tracing)
With any activity that takes place all – members rowing and non-rowing, and the general public must see that all is being done to limit any spread of Covid. Please remember that if you are using social media only publish compliant photos / videos and remember that there are others who will publish anything and even contact the CPGA if they see a club not following good practice.

POTENTIAL FIXTURE LIST 2021
We are all unaware of the effect that Covid is going to have on the 2021 season, but we are publishing a provisional fixture list for 2021 as we are aware that clubs need to confirm dates with harbour / port authorities etc. Any club wishing to change a date or add a date please email.
We are planning to have an U15 and U17 champs, Hayle have agreed and we await word from Newquay. These will be combined with the U14 and hopefully the U16 so that junior crews that would have rowed this year will have the opportunity to take to the water in 2021, fingers crossed.
