Club Rowing

Regular club rowing has returned to the Exe Estuary. Members can book club rowing in the usual way, via the website, on Saturday mornings and / or Monday evenings. Please note you will need to self certify that you are symptom free on the booking form before you can submit a booking request.

Beginner / Intro Rowing

We have had a lot of interest in new rowers wanting to have trial rows and experienced rowers joining the club. To facilitate this requires additional measures to combat COVID transmission and relies heavily on senior cox availability. Therefore, beginner and intro rows are on a case by case basis and need to be organised via the the committee.

Extra Sessions

As coxes return extra sessions will become viable but for the time being the club must ensure that all club rowing sessions are supported. Therefore, no extra sessions (aka training rows) can be booked at this time. Members will be made aware when the situation changes.

Keeping the Club COVID Safe

For Contact Tracing, we encourage members with the NHS Covid-19 App to scan the QR code which will be visible at the yard, before rowing in any session. If you don’t have or use the App, we will keep a record of your session date and time for a period of 21 days in accordance with GDPR and in line with Government advice.

If you wish to row please follow these simple steps:

  1. Fill out your Membership & Water Readiness Form and submit payment
Only existing members can book to row
  2. Familiarise yourself with the COVID Protocols and Procedures
These will be in place and must be followed on the day to ensure the safety of everyone. Take a look at the video from our trial row last year to see how it will work (see below)
  3. Go to the Booking Page on our Website
It’s important to note that you will need to sign the declaration and waiver before you will be able to book.

Once numbers and crews have been organised, you will receive an email confirming your booking and time-slot.

Please remember to bring your facemask and arrive no more than 10 minutes before your allocated time to minimise the number of people on the beach as much as possible.
