Five Exmouth Crews met early Saturday under the shadow of Brunel’s Tamar rail bridge to take part in the first and longest regatta of the season; Caradon’s 3 Rivers race. But the 6 miles course distance wasn’t the only obstacle to overcome.

“Just to confirm that the Three Rivers Race on Saturday 2nd of March will definitely be going ahead.

However, please note: Due to the weather forecast the coxes meeting is being brought forward to the earlier time of 11.30hrs and the start of the Ladies Race is being brought forward to 12.00 noon, in an attempt to have both races completed before the tide turns.

Go to the following webpage – https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/

You then need to type Exmouth Gig Club into ‘search for a cause’ (You will see that with only 15 members registered we have raised £152.34)

Select ‘support this cause’ this will then prompt you to register.

Once you have registered you just need to remember to go through the easyfundraising site every time you shop online.

Our first ever regatta-Exmouth!

Schedule for Exmouth Regatta

We’ll be holding our first ever regatta and hope that you’ll be able to come and cheer us on.

The racing will take place in from the Beach near the Exe Fishing Hut and out to sea (bring binoculars!).

Over 250 rowers from the Jurassic League clubs including;

Sidmouth, Lyme Regis, Bridport, Portland, Weymouth, Swanage, Poole, Langstone and Teignmouth will be attending.
