The black tie🤵‍♂️💃event held at the Exmouth Police Club 🚨saw the following rowers collect their awards in the following categories…

🧡Masters: Steve & Gina
🖤Supervets: Martin & Karen
🧡Vets: Greg & Nicola
🖤Open: Charlie & Carrie
🧡Most Improved: Nikki
🖤Rowers Rower: Pete
🧡Committees Choice: George

The age category winners were all chosen by the coxes and the selection committee for their technical brilliance 💡, commitment to training 💪and taking on feedback to improve 📈.

The Rowers Rower was chosen by our members who cited Pete’s commitment to coxing and boson duties 🛠️ as well as giving new rowers a head start with his time, knowledge 🤔and encouragement 👍.

Finally the Committee Choice (George) was chosen as a member who works tirelessly on behalf of the club, coxing endless club sessions and a willingness to jump into any boat to cox at regattas 🏁.

The awards were followed by a the potluck dinner 🥘🥙🥗 (thanks to everyone that brought a dish!) and a well earned drink or five 🍻🍻🍻.

Saturday #exmouthdevon to #topsham - and back. Sunday - Time to regroup with Club Sessions after a a long season of high intensity racing. Beautiful, glassy conditions both days. October is the new summer!

We await the final results but from our (rough) estimate we think we finished = 28th. Best result to date and we loved every minute of it! #gigrower #gigrowing

This exceptional squad not only pours their heart 🧡 and soul into their club, but they've also proudly represented Devon*❇️in their respective age categories. 🏆🌟

(*despite most of them being Cornish in disguise…shhh!🕵️‍♂️)

Each member brings their unique strengths to the boat, forming an unbreakable bond and becoming a force to be reckoned with. 💪🔥

With their sights 🎯set on (at least) the quarter finals, and an XL pasty 🥟, this crew is ready to push their limits and give everything.

Ladies A took on some of the worlds best in @caradongigclub and @coverackgigclub in their quarterfinal this morning. Once again a great event hosted by @newquayrc and we look forward to the Men’s in two weeks time.

What an amazing day we’ve had at Sidmouth Gig Ra

What an amazing day we’ve had at Sidmouth Gig Racing Clubs regatta and the final regatta of the Jurassic Gig Rowing League !!

We had some awesome results today !! 🏁👏
2nd 🥈 in the Ladies & Mens Vets
3rd 🥉 for our Mens A & Mixed crew and mixed masters !
4th for Ladies A & Mens B
5th Ladies B
Mens Super vets 6th
Ladies Super vets 7th

AND we ended the Jurassic league season ………JOINT 3rd overall in the league with Langstone Pilot Gig Club!!! 🥳🤩😱

And that’s not all - WOOHOO🎉- Our mens Vets were OVERALL winners of the league and picked up one of the beautiful trophies 🏆

What a fantastic result for our club and our rowers & coxes 💪🏻💪🏻🏆🏆🚣🏼‍♀️🚣🏼‍♀️.

Massive thanks to all the clubs within the Jurassic league that make it what it is and big well done to Poole gig rowing club - overall winners of todays regatta and overall winners of the Jurassic League 🦖🏆🎉
